The mission of the VCU Information Security Office is to provide and foster an environment that secures and maintains the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information technology resources that are central to the University's mission-critical operations of education, research, service, and administration.

Warning of an increased number of phishing scams targeting VCU.
VCU will never ask you for your password via email, text, or over the phone. Such requests are indicators of phishing scams designed to steal credentials. Always contact VCU ITSC - itsc@vcu.edu or 804-828-2227 to verify, as scammers often create false emergencies to gain your trust and access your account.
Students, please visit go.vcu.edu/jobscams to protect yourself from scams. Please consider checking go.vcu.edu/phishing for regular reports of high impact phishing scams reported to infosec@vcu.edu. Please report actual or suspected phishing attempts and scams to the VCU Information Technology Service Center (ITSC) at itsc@vcu.edu, 804-828-2227, or directly to the Information Security Office at infosec@vcu.edu. And remember, VCU offices will never ask you for your login credentials or personal data.
